Mandatory renewal each two years. Open to Diver Medic Certificate (DMT) students, whom have to renew their certificat as required by IMCA Standards.
Training information (Review of the full initial DMT program):
- Anatomy and understanding of the healthy human body;
- Analysis and understanding of the phenomena impacting the body during dives;
- Causes, prevention, signs and symptoms, management of accidents/incidents in normal and hyperbaric situations;
- Systematic method of examining injured or ill patients;
- Methods of monitoring vital signs, such as pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure, temperature, and nervous system;
- Administration of oxygen.
- Study of the use of first aid equipment available on the site of a diving operation (scenario).
- Maintaining medical records (including confidentiality) and liaison with medical services/communication with medical personnel. Use of an appropriate aide memoir for the recording and transmission of medical data;
- Practical teaching:
Management of the airways, intravenous/intraosseous infusions, insertion of a pleural drain for pneumothorax, suturing, urinary catheterization.
- Must be done : between 3 months before and 8 weeks after your validity date.
- hold a valid diving medical (less than 1 year) as suitable to go under pressure in a chamber.
- Hold an offshore Diver qualification (or ALST) approved and recognised with IMCA standards.

P.S : If you want, you can do a DMT Refresher course before the 3 months, but your new expiry date will be from the end of the DMT Refresher course you followed, plus 2 years less one day. At the end of the 8 weeks after the expiry date, you will have to follow a full DMT course for having a new DMT certificate.
